  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The scope of the works comprises the dualization of the existing road from Suwaiq Roundabout to Suwaiq Town to interface with the Batinah Coastal Road Project. The length of the project road including portion of the alignment which was initially part of the Batinah Coastal Road Project is 3.6km. The project ends with a roundabout which shall be connected to the main round about on Batinah Coastal Road. Following the results of traffic study the road is designed as Secondary Road, design group C7 as per Oman Highway Design Standard 2010.

     

  • Description:

    1) Prepare concept design
    2) Review existing topographic survey for completeness and reference to recognized datum and carry out detailed topographic survey
    3) Carry out traffic survey and analysis
    4) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures
    5) Geometric design for the dualization and optimization of the alignment to minimize adverse impact on existing properties
    6) Design all necessary structures and other elements
    7) Prepare design report, preliminary / detailed design, Engineers cost estimate and tender documents
    8) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval on the design.
