DGR< has appointed Renardet for the design and supervision of Teetam-Qaftoot road. The project comprises of the construction of a new asphalt road about 18 km in length between Teetam and Qaftout villages and about 8.00 km internal roads in adjacent areas, enroute, at the western suburb of the city of Salalah. The existing track road between Teetam and Qaftout has a difficult alignment with steep gradients and sharp bends. The new road therefore generally has a new alignment bye- passing most of the existing track. The project start chainage namely km 0+000 (B.O.P.) is on the existing asphalt road at Teetam and the end chainage of km 17+500 is at Qaftout, about 3.0 km short of the track road junction with the existing asphalt road (Sewage Lagoon road) in the project vicinity.
