  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) has awarded to Renardet and Partners, the tender for the feasibility study, detailed design and supervision of the dams in Al Maindan, Wariyah, Wareed and Qafeefah wadis situated in Sharqiyah Region. The first objective of this project is to provide groundwater recharge to the urban community and their water resources within the wadis in Qafeefah town and partially in Al Ulya and Samad, in Wilayat Ibra Sultanate of Oman. Increase in groundwater resources along the wadis will assist the local community in agricultural production and improve the quality of the groundwater. The project is composed of different wadis with some joining together to form wadi Naam and Wadi Ibra. This scheme will also provide significant flood attenuation for Ibra urban areas.
