  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The Sohar Municipality appointed Renardet SA to carry out the study and design of the following roads in Sohar : Dualization of Tareef road is about 5. 3 km and Service road in Muwailah area is about 4 km. Scope of work also includes introduction of signalized junction at Tareef Roundabout and Waqaibah Roundabout, designing of dual road connecting both roundabouts including box culverts and design of service roads etc. The main work items are summarized as follows: 1) Bituminous paved roads and parking 2) Interlocking block paving surfaced road 3) Reinforced concrete drainage channel 4) Earthworks - cutting and filling 5) Culverts and road lighting 6) Protection/relocation of existing utilities 7) Road signs and pavement markings 8) Traffic management and safety

    1) Detailed Topographic Survey
    2) Comprehensive Traffic Study and Environmental study
    3) Review the Master Plan of the area and other relevant studies
    4) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures
    5) Design all necessary structures and other elements
    6) Prepare design report, preliminary / detailed design, Engineers cost estiamte and tender documents
    7) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval on the design.
