  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The project was intiated by Architects, R. R Robinson on behlf of the Yaya Group who are planning a major mixed-use development on a large plot of land in Bowsher. The plot is located adjacent to the newly upgraded Bowsher Road (dual carriageway, 2 x 2-lanes) and Interchange connecting to the Muscat Expressway. At the back of the plot there is a residential area with an internal road network. Renardet's role was the traffic impact study and development of a feasible and robust accessibility scheme to concept design level for approval by the Royal Oman Police and MUscat Municipality. The TIA report and concept accessibility design were appreciated by the client and under review by the Royal Oman Police, the outcome of which is pending.

    2) Traffic surveys to assess base-line traffic conditions
    3) Traffic generation and assignment predicted from Mixed-use Development
    4) Analysis of Development traffic and impact upon existing road network
    5) Concept design of accessibility scheme incorporating traffic impact mitigation measure
    6) Preparation of report and drawings to present outcome of the study and concept design for review by ROP and Municipality
