  • Narrative Description of the Project:

The project commissioned by PDO comprised the feasibility study and design of a new utility corridor linking Seih al Maleh Strret with Fahoud Street passing behind the existing jebel. The necessity was due to insufficient utility corridor space within the respective road corridors. Due to the Ras Al Hamra Development Project by PDO there are a significant number of new utilities required for installation and these shall fit within the proposed utility corridor, the width of which shall be sufficient to accommodate the demand. In addition, an access road to the under-construction 132kV sub-station is included. A number of alignment alternatives were studied. The chosen option was designed in detail along with the utility corridor and drawings issued to the established contractor for immediate implementation under Renardet supervision. Numerous adjustments were made to the design to suit changing requirements.
