    The dam is located near Goudah town in Wilayat Bukha-Musandam Governorate. The objective of the dam is to optimize the recharge of the local aquifer and to provide water to the downstream areas of Ghumdah town. The dam is upgraded to flood protection category during awarding process. The project may include 2 dams as per the latest information. The dams heights will be more than 12m with central spillway each.
