Narrative Description of the Project:

The proposed Raysut Roundabout and link roads project is located adjacent to Salalah free Zone and Port of Salalah, Dhofar Region. The Scope of works comprises of the construction of a new roundabout to replace the existing oval roundabout on the main Salalah Road (As Sultan Qaboos Street) near the access to the Port of Salalah and Salalah Free Zone. In conjunction with the new roundabout there will be a new link road across the wadi to serve the Port of Salalah. This link road from the new Raysut Roundabout will join the container terminal access road with a smaller roundabout. The existing roads to the Free Zone and Mughsyle will be modified to connect to the new Raysut Roundabout. Traffic management and Safety is an important component of the work The main construction items of this road project are: ????????? Two new roundabouts and two major multi-cell box culverts ????????? About 2 km of new road construction ????????? Cutting in rock for about 200m and Drainage pipe culverts and ditches ????????? Road Lighting and Protection of OGC pipelines ????????? Protection/relocation of existing utilities and Road signs and pavement markings ????????? Traffic management and safety ????????? Ancillary works like barrier installation, traffic signs, pavement markings etc.

Description:

1) Detailed Topographic Survey
2) Comprehensive Traffic Study and environmental considerations
3) Review the Master Plan of the area and other relevant studies
4) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures
5) Design all necessary structures and other elements
5) Prepare design report, preliminary / detailed design, Engineers cost estiamte and tender documents
6) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval on the design.
7) Environmental Considerations
