  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    Main objective of this 150 Kms road is to connect oil fields of Marmul to Salalah-Muscat road. This project is envisaged to reduce accidents in PDO operational area of Marmul apart from facilitating smooth flow of traffic concerning MOD camps and its head quarters at Salalah.Proposed road is 7mtr wide with 0.5mtr asphalt shoulder and 1.5 mtrs of unpaved shoulder on both sides. Project scope also includes protection of fiber optic cable running parallel to road at a location of crossing of road and PDO pipeline crossing at one location is also to be protected. Various types of drainage structures like P.C ,B.C, Irish typeI,Irish type II,Irish type III, Slope protections, etc are to be constructed at 84 locations.
