Narrative Description of the Project:

The Scope of Works comprises the construction of the following Roads: a. Mahlah Ghubbrat Al Tam - Ismaiyah Road that starts from Mahlah and passes through Ghubbrat Al Tam and ends at Ismaiyah for a total length of about 36 km. b. Mahlah to Misfa Road for a total length of about 9.8 km. c. Link road to Seeh A Rak which starts from Naba-Ismaiyah road for a total length of about 1.5 km. The work comprises also the construction of four bridges comprising 30 m post-tensioned slabs supported on RC Piers and abutment along the route on Mahlah Ghubbrat Al Tam - Ismaiyah Road: The length of the Bridges are as follows: - Bridge No. 1 is about 90 m - Bridge no. 2 is about 120 m - Bridge no. 3 is about 120 m - Bridge no. 4 is about 150 m The other works include, but not limited to, the following: Embankment protection, Dykes Scour protection measures Provision and fixing debris collectors and future ducts Relocation/protection of utilities including falajs, water lines, electrical lines Relocation of overhead/underground electrical lines and telephone lines, etc.

Description:

Design Review and Construction Supervision which include the following:
1) Assist the Employer in Contract Administration and in Contract Management
2) Provide guidance and direction to the Contractor
3) Furnish all necessary ground and topographic data, including setting out of control points
4) Issue the interim payment certificate based on the progress at site and according to the conditions of the contract
5) Review and recommend for approval revision (if any) of Contractor's work schedule
6) Establish standardized Quantity and Quality control programs (Quality Plan)
7) Establish Safety plan
8) Review and approve Contractor's working drawings and temporary works proposals
9) Provide supervision of works to ensure Contractor's compliance with the specs and contractual obligations
10) Notify the Employer about Contractor's claims and provide the Client with the evaluation
11) Prepare variation orders, evaluate request of time extension
12) Keep the Client informed about progress and problems or potential problems
13) Coordination with Local Authorities and Third Parties involved in the works
